DARK CHOCOLATE IS A HEALTHY CHOCOLATE

According to a study done by scientists in Germany they say that Dark Chocolate is good for you.  An article mentioned in the August issue of The Journal of the American Medical Association states that "chocolate may have beneficial cardiovascular effects, possibly due to cocoa polyphenols".  The article went on to state that it lowered blood pressure in adults whose blood pressure ranged in the hypertensive range.  

What are cocoa polyphenols?

Cocoa beans, which are the main ingredient of dark chocolate, are rich in polyphenols which can increase the antioxidants in your system and also have an anti-inflammatory effect on your body, according to an article written in the PMC, US National Library of Medicine.  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC279010...  Antioxidants have been known to reduce the free radicals in our bodies as well as slow down the aging process.
